This page offers a little bit of everything related to employment and they are also services and agencies that I have worked with, referred clients to and support.

Calgary Learns funds Calgary non-profit organizations to provide foundational learning opportunities for adult Calgarians who face economic barriers to learning. Foundational learning focuses on basic literacy and the knowledge, skills and abilities that enable individuals to participate as neighbours and citizens, pursue further learning and/or have satisfying employment.
Specifically, this funding supports learning opportunities for adults with financial barriers and low literacy, low language skills, low employability, OR little or no formal education. Priority is given to permanent residents and Canadian citizens but Temporary Foreign Workers may participate in funded learning programs if space allows (excludes visitor visa holders, refugee claimants and minister’s permits). New grants typically range from $10,000 to $40,000. Please see the Calgary Learns website for more information.
